Here are 4 photos taken at Premier Davis' Annual Townsend Island Christmas Lunch ....Marg was so fun, such a delight, had a great laugh and although in past years, I would pick her up and drive her down to this luncheon, we would catch up with spirited conversation on the way down and back thru snowy December traffic. She was so creative, loved to entertain and she and I were known to wear "bunny" outfits at an Easter Gathering one year in the Premier's Office ..good thing I couldn't find that photo! No matter when you called her on the phone, she always had lots to tell. I am just so saddened to hear of her passing and I send my deepest sympathies to her brother (who she said kept her on her budget!!) and to all her dear family who she treasured. The Queen's Park gang is truly going to miss her ..we all loved her so.
She is photographed here with Clare Westcott, Executive Director of the Office of the Premier; Peter Balog, OPP Security for Mr. Davis; Sheila Donohue, Assistant to Mr. Davis and Sally Barnes, who was in charge of the Press Office.
My condolences to you. I loved Margaret as well as Jimmy. I met them through relatives who lived at 4000 Yonge. I called them La Troupe 4000. She told great stories; sometimes asked me if it was all right for her to use the ‘f’ word; and made me laugh. We shared a number of meals and drinks together over the years. I know she will be missed by many…anyone whose path she crossed. She was a ‘grande dame’. Moira
